Keeping Musicians on the Road - a Joint Meeting with the Music APPG

The APPG for Freight and Logistics and the APPG for Music have brought their industries together to discuss the common challenges of movement between the UK and EU.

The panel, which was chaired jointly by Rachel Taylor and Pete Wishart, featured key industry voices supporting a better working relationship with Europe to support touring musicians and the international freight and logistics sector.

Parliamentarians and industry representatives discussed the impact of post-Brexit red tape, including the 90 in 180-day rule, cabotage restrictions, and carnets, which have hindered UK artists and transport companies operating in the EU.

The groups will continue to campaign for a good relationship with the EU to support logistics, musicians, and the wide array of other industries affected by the current regime and we look forward to continuing our work the APPG for Music and other industry stakeholders.
